Bodegas Ontañon en Tokio

Bodegas Ontañon participó el pasado abril en una cata organizada por la ADER en colaboración con el Consejo Regulador de Rioja y el Ministerio de Economía que tuvo lugar en Tokio. Este evento tuvo como fin aumentar la reputación de los vinos de Rioja en el mercado japonés, así como presentar las nuevas añadas.

Nuestro Ontañon Reserva 2001 fue seleccionado por el famoso sommelier japonés Yoichi Sato como un de los mejores reservas participantes en la cata. Este hecho es muy gratificante para Bodegas Ontañon ya que el año pasado nuestro Arteso 2005 fue el favorito en la categoría de vinos modernos de Rioja.

Como muestra la foto, Bodegas Ontañon estuvo presente en una cena especial que sirvió el emblemático restaurante Meiji Kinenkan de Tokio. Además de tener la oportunidad de reunirnos con los mejores importadores japoneses, disfrutamos con el mismo menú que la Familia Imperial japonesa ofreció a la Familia Real española durante su último viaje oficial; marinado esta vez con nuestro Vetiver 2005.

Bodegas Ontañón in Tokyo

Bodegas Ontañón participated last April in a wine tasting that took place in Tokyo organised by ADER (Agency for the Economic Development of Rioja region) in collaboration with the Rioja Consejo Regulador and Economic Affairs Ministry. The purpose was to improve the reputation of Rioja wines in the Japanese market as well as to introduce the new vintages that are about to be launched.

One of our wines, Ontañón Reserva 2001 was selected by famous Japanese sommelier Yoichi Sato as one of the best Rioja Reservas participating at the event. It was very fulfilling for the winery since last year our Arteso 2005 was the favourite wine in the category of Modern Rioja Wines.

As the picture shows, a special dinner was served at the emblematic Tokyo restaurant Meiji Kinenkan. Bodegas Ontañón had the chance to meet some of the best Japanese importers while having the same dinner as the one selected by the Spanish Royal Family when they travelled to Japan to meet the Japanese Royal Family last year. This dinner was harmoniously combined with Ontañón white viura wine Vetiver 2005.
